Exams

  • During the course online test will be taken at the end of each chapter. 50% pass mark required. Max 2 failures i.e. 3 attempts.
  • There will be assessment at the end of all three semester.
  • Assessment exam for upper GI / lower GI / HPB will be held at end of PG course, which will be case/ practical oriented MCQ questions, followed by viva.
  • Format of the exam : MCQ and Viva
  • Practical skills assessment
    • During contact session.
    • Practical skills: in operative / endoscopy rooms
    • Log book evaluation.
  • Final International Certificate Course score: It will be aggregate of marks acquired in assessment exam & online MCQ tests at end of each chapter
    • Assessment Exams will be held at the end of Post Graduate courses.
    • Minimum Pass marks will be 50% for each exam

International Certificate Course Award:

  • It is mandatory that all candidates will have to become life member of IASGO(presently Euro 500, subjected to change)
  • At successful completion of training and Examination, the International Certificate Course in Surgical Gastroenterology / International Certificate Course in Medical Gastroenterology will be awarded at one of the Post graduate course of college.
  • International Certificate Course award fees will be Rs 25,000 for candidates from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Burma, Bhutan, Srilanka and Pakistan and US$ 800 for candidates from other countries for period of 10 years.
  • In lieu International Certificate course award fees one will be eligible for:
    • One annual membership of IASGO.
    • Free e-journal subscription of that IASGO.
    • Free access to IASGO Academy website as member.
    • Can attend IASGO PG Course/ Conference at reduced member’s rates.
  • This International Certificate Course will not accord any extra privileges for performing extra operations.
